Wind Energy:
Wind energy and its turbines are a growing industry with an efficiently run system. But even in an efficient system with proper periodic maintenance, sometimes things break down or failures occur. Do you have electrical engineering knowledge and experience in (offshore) wind energy? If so, you could become the troubleshooter who makes sure that the breakdown is fixed and that the wind turbine is up and running again. We prepare you for this profession with training and courses so that you can get to work with turbines equipped with the latest technology. In this way you also contribute to a better world.

What makes this job so much fun?
As an offshore wind turbine troubleshooter, you work in a close-knit team two weeks on and two weeks off. During your job, you'll spend two weeks at sea in a wind farm. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for solving the malfunctions that occur at the turbines. Every wind turbine is monitored and when a malfunction occurs, it is immediately visible. Sometimes the problem is immediately obvious. In that case, you will be taken to the wind turbine in question with all the supplies needed to repair it. Despite continuous monitoring, it also occurs that it is not immediately clear what the problem is. It is then up to you to analyze with the team what the problem is and fix it.

Are there no malfunctions? In that case you keep yourself busy with:

• Periodic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance
• Performing various inspections and replacing components
• Reporting your findings after each inspection or repair

As a wind turbine troubleshooter, you never work alone. There will be at least two of you and you will always work as a team. And how about lunch together with a beautiful view of the roof.

What do we ask of you?
Technology is your passion, and you can work day and night. You feel responsible for your work and have no problem working according to safety protocols. You work both independently and in a team and are eager to learn in order to keep up with the latest techniques.

With a (nearly) completed MBO education level 3 or 4 in the direction of Electrical Engineering, AOT (General Operational Techniques), Mechatronics, Aviation or a comparable level of knowledge obtained through work experience and courses, you will fit right in with us. As a wind turbine troubleshooter offshore, you will work in an informal atmosphere together with your colleagues to contribute to the energy transition. In addition:

• Are you fluent in Dutch and English?
• Working at height is not a problem for you
• Do you have working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and control systems
• You are flexible
• Do you have offshore experience in wind technology
• Are you in possession of GWO and VCA certificates and a driving license B
• Do you have work experience in electrical engineering
